Master of Arts in Teacher Training

Those wishing to enrol in the Master of Arts in Dance Education programme must demonstrate special artistic and pedagogical suitability and must possess a primary degree as a dancer or have been part of a dance company for several years.

Upon admission to the Master programme, the students decide whether to major in Ballet or Contemporary/Modern Dance.

The course provides the student with intensive preparation for the profession of dance teacher, whether in theatres or in professional dance training institutions. Comprehensive teaching practice also forms an important part of the course of study.

Dieser Master-Studiengang richtet sich an Profitänzer und Tanzpädagogen, die eine weiterführende Karriere als Ballettmeister/Probenleiter im Theaterbetrieb oder als Tanzpädagogen in der professionellen Tänzerausbildung anstreben. Pädagogische Erfahrung und Eignung werden vorausgesetzt und in einem Aufnahmeverfahren überprüft.

Within the two years of study 120 ECTS credit points are acquired.

Am Ende der erfolgreich absolvierten 2-jährigen Studienzeit erhält der Studierende
den akademischen Grad Master of Arts (M.A.) in Tanzpädagogik.
