Information from the Crisis Management Team

Corona Newsletter 18 from 30th June 2020

Dear All,

Hello and we hope this finds you and yours all well, healthy and coping in these ever-changing and challenging times.

Continuing in our mini-groups and staggered schedules, we are able to plan almost all dance exams between now and July 10th and the work on our Dance Film for the Matinée is running at full-steam. This will be online on July 15th on our Vimeo Channel.

The very successful and creative evening “Taxi”, the BA Dance Works of BAT 3, is online and the entire 2hour programme can be viewed here: (till 14th July).

On Campus, as of next week, the Health and Safety rules remain unchanged, except with the permission to now use the showers for students following their classes.

There will be no classes on Monday July 13th for all O – N Class Students, as this day is used by the Secondary School for the preparation of the Report Cards. All students from the O – N Classes will have a three-day long weekend. On Monday July 13th there will be optional classes for the BA Dance Students.

The Graduation Ceremony is set for July 7th for the BA Dance 3 and Apprentice Programmes and July 17th for the N4. All details will be directly communicated to each Student and Family. Under very strict guidelines, 2 household members from each Graduate will be allowed to attend and the Ceremonies will be live streamed on our Vimeo Channel with a password for all to see.

All students (O1 – BAT 2) have received the information for the “Summer Dance” Workshop from the 17th – 28th of August and we hope this will be a good opportunity to get back into the studios after the Holidays.

The Winter Semester begins on Monday August 31st and we are aiming to start back as planned. We are working with the Health Authorities to see how we can best prepare the Dormitory and under which conditions. At the moment, it looks like we will need to continue on a very reduced capacity and possibly also only for Students from O1 – N4, but as soon as we know more, we will inform all. Health and safety are the priority and with the Winter Cold and Flu Season coming, we must ensure that in all cases and events, all can be well looked after and taken care of.

Our next Newsletter will follow in a week’s time. Until then, take care, stay healthy and keep your distances.

Best regards,

Your Crisis Management Team
